What is a general contractor? It is the person/company directly responsible for the overall coordination of a construction project. At Tri-Town Construction we are fully licensed and insured to do a any contracting job. We have the background and skills to bid on your job, establish estimates and time frames while overseeing all
workers and subcontractors. We are the ones you call when you have questions or worries throughout your project.
General contracting is not for the novice. The vast areas of knowledge that a G.C. must have is not for the faint of heart. We deal with the local building codes and permitting, that alone will put someone who is not used to these situations past their breaking point! We set appointments for various inspections along the way and if scheduling and timing is off this can put a
project back by weeks. Having said that, it is important to have the staff and the organization to keep a project on course and within the timelines that you and us, your general contractor set up.
We have handpicked the companies we use to do subcontracting work. We use all licensed and insured companies with exemplary references. We have used these subcontractors regularly and they have shown us that they can do top of the line work that we require.
Hiring a general contractor can be a tough decision. Always make sure you see a copy of their license and certificate of insurance, then call to verify references, licenses and policy coverages. You are the person hiring and should be comfortable and trust the company you put in charge of your project.
